Our Efforts

image hereThe organization initiated its work on September 10th, 2000 by making people aware about the hazards of polythene bags in varies cities through its Anti- Polythene campaigns which spread awareness by means of street play "Polythene Zehar Hai”. For the first time in Agra, HumRahi made people aware about the bad effects of polythene usage by means of road show and people were summoned to stop using polythene bags. Apart from that bags made from jute and paper was distributed in the market by the organization. The influence of this act on the society was such that in many location people stopped using polythene bags and started using bags made from jute & cloth. Agra administration co-operated very well in this act. Everyone welcomed this initiative of HumRahi.

In parallel to this “HumRahi along with Jaalma Kushtha Rog Sansthan” of Agra continuously for two years played street play "Aur Saans Thamti Gayee” at different places. The script of this play was written by Mr. Arunesh Kumar Singh and Mr. kamaldeep Jolly. The direction for the play was given by the well known Actor and Director Mr. Naresh Kumar “Tanha” & Kamaldeep Jolly. In this play the Rachna Gautam , Pooja Sengar , Deepak Gola, Satveer Singh, Amit Goswami, manpreet Kaur , Rohit Raja, Mona, Shobha, Amit Bansal, Sanjay jarauliaya, trivendra etc. played their role very well and Babloo-Bahadur gave music . Pooja Sengar was awarded for her role in the play.

Jalma Institute for Leprosy, Agra and Sahara Media made a documentary film “Aur Saans Thamti Gayi……..” in which Dr. Sunil Rani Kamra Depty Director , Jalma Institute for Leprosy, Agra, gave praiseworthy Co-operation to us.

The Organization done praiseworthy work for mass awakening about “Jal Nidhi Yojna ” started by the government by means of All India Radio. In this project the organization spread awareness for six month among people from rural areas about the importance and benefits of “Jal Nidhi Yojna” by means of all India Radio Programme “jingles”

In June 2003, free summer camp “ABHIRUCHI- 2003” took place in which classes for singing, playing musical instrument, dancing, magic, Anchoring, Mehdi, Drawing, Stage play etc were started for children as well youths. In Abhiruchi the well known artist of the city gave training in their respective field. Famous Gazal Singer Mr. Devashish Ganguli, well known painter Dr. Santosh Kumar Maurya, Famous musician Mr. Shailu Kashyap, Choreographer Allex , Anchor Rashid Qureshi, Dramatist Mr. Partho Sen and Mr. Naresh Kumar “Tanha” were some of them. The camp was inaugurated by the Deputy Director of Jaalma Dr. Suneel Rani Kamra and concluded by Dr. Chitralekha Singh Vice President of HumRahi.

A seminar was organized by Humrahi on the eve of International Women’s day ie on March07,2009 and the topic for the seminar was “Naari Shashaktikaran : Vastavikata ya Bhrama”. Women from each & every class of society participated in the Seminar and the following speakers gave their views about the subject in which Dr. Lajwanti (Reader, Education department, Dayalbaagh Educational Institute, Agra) was the first Women to speak about. In this sequence Dr. Geeta Yadvendu, Head of department, History, R.B.S. College, Agra, Dr. Saroj Bhargava, Director , Lalit Kala Sansthan, Agra, Dr. Parinita Bansal, Gynecologist, Ram Raghu Hospital, Agra, Advocate Anjali Verma, Dr. Sudha Saxsena, Director all India Council for women were also in their sequence. Col. Dadhich, well known Journalist Mr. Anil Shukla analysed the seminar. During the cultural programme of the seminar Dr. Aman and Shaimpa Ganguli presented Gazals. On the other a play “PAPPU FAIL HO GAYA” was presented by Nataranjali Group in this event. Mr. Aravind Pratihar, participant of laughter Challenge and Ms. Soma Jain were the anchors of the programme. At the end of the programme, Mr. Suresh Kumar Singh, President of HumRahi and Mrs. Kamalesh Singh presented memento to the guest. There was a huge crowd of women, Participated in the seminar. Mrs. Baby Rani Maurya, Ex. Member, National Women Commission was the chief guest of the programme. As the speaker a large number of well known and reputed women from rural and urban areas gave resolution not to make women secondary in any field of life.
